Mason Mount’s Father Admits He Wanted His Son to Leave Chelsea

The father of Chelsea youngster Mason Mount has admitted that he wanted his son to leave the club five years ago. In 2014, Mount had a difficult choice to make as he had to choose between either leaving the Blues permanently to join another club or signing a scholarship deal with the West London club.  At the time, Mount was one of the most highly-rated 15-year-old players in England.

Chelsea Ban Supporter Permanently Over Racial Abuse

Chelsea Football Club have always been against racism and abuse directed towards players. The Blues announced that they will be suspending four supporters from going to all Chelsea matches pending investigations. The incident happened on December 8, 2018, when Manchester City and England star Raheem Sterling was allegedly shouted at with a vicious racial slur by a group of Chelsea fans.

Jorginho Denies Being Friends with Maurizio Sarri

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has insisted that former Blues manager Maurizio Sarri was not his friend. The Spaniard joined the West London side last summer from Napoli and arrived along with Sarri. Because of the fact that he arrived along with Sarri, many fans and pundits essentially viewed Jorginho as a “Sarri signing” with his performances arguably being more scrutinized than other players.

Chelsea Winger Pays Tribute to Former Coach

Chelsea winger Kenedy has revealed that he is thankful to Newcastle United and Rafael Benitez for the time that he got to spend on loan with the Magpies last season. Kenedy and Benitez appeared to have had a good relationship. The youngster initially joined the Toon Army for the second half of the 2017/18 season. He went on to impress during that time as he scored two Premier League goals from 13 appearances.

Controversial Chelsea legend Ashley Cole has named current Napoli coach Carlo Ancelotti as the greatest coach that he played under. It was under the Italian that the former England international feels that he played the best football of his career. The 60-year-old Ancelotti managed the Blues between 2009-2011. He managed to lead the club to one Premier League title and one FA Cup before being sacked with a win percentage of 61.57%.

David Luiz Glad to Have Former Team-Mates Back

Chelsea centre-back David Luiz feels happy to have former team-mates Frank Lampard and Petr Cech back at the club. Lampard has succeeded Maurizio Sarri as the new manager of the West London giants while Cech is set to serve the club as a technical adviser after retiring from professional football at the end of last season after his contract with Arsenal came to an end.
