Chelsea face off against Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United in the final of the FA Cup this afternoon. The Wembley showpiece presents both sides with the opportunity to end the season on a high and with some silverware to their name.

The Red Devils enter as the favourites to win, considering they have been more consistent than the Blues this term and their second-place finish in the Premier League. Meanwhile, Chelsea ended a disappointing campaign in fifth, with the future of Antonio Conte up in the air.

United are well aware that one Chelsea player they will need to combat against is Eden Hazard. Even below par, the Belgian is not only one of the most devastating players in English football but the world. Man United midfielder Ander Herrera has revealed that his club have masterminded a plan to stop Hazard.

During an interview with Graham Hunter, the Spaniard said: “If we want to stop him we need it from all of us, like we did at Old Trafford. I know I was the protagonist after the game because of the man-marking. But if Jesse and Marcus, and Felli and Paul, who were in front of me, hadn’t done the job they did, Hazard would have received the ball.

“They were playing with three defenders and Jesse and Marcus did not let those defenders come with the ball easy and then play to Hazard or to Willian. I know I was on the front page the next day, but credit for Marcus, Jesse, Paul and for Fellaini, they were in front of me stopping that easy ball to Hazard.”
