Chelsea Football Club have always been against racism and abuse directed towards players. The Blues announced that they will be suspending four supporters from going to all Chelsea matches pending investigations. The incident happened on December 8, 2018, when Manchester City and England star Raheem Sterling was allegedly shouted at with a vicious racial slur by a group of Chelsea fans.
Chelsea Fans Cleared of Abusing Sterling
The Chelsea fans who were accused of racially abusing Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling will not face any prosecution. Fans of the Blues were accused of abusing the 24-year-old Sterling during the clubs 2-0 defeat against the Citizens at Stamford Bridge in December. The Blues went on to suspend four fans from attending games while investigating the incidents.
