Chelsea and Nigerian defender Kenneth Omeruo had completed his move to the La Liga side, Leganes on a full-time basis.
As expected, the Premier League is very well represented at the 2018 World Cup and Chelsea is just one of the teams with several players out in Russia. One of those players, Kenneth Omeruo, played each of Nigeria’s group matches and excelled in the defensive line despite the Super Eagles’ devastating exit from the tournament.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup Finals draw was made last week at the Kremlin in Moscow, the main host city for the tournament next summer. The event saw all 32 teams placed into eight different groups. As one of Europe’s biggest sides, Chelsea will have a strong contingent of players on show in Russia.
