As expected, it was a changed Chelsea side Enzo Maresca selected to face the Belgians in European competition’s third tier. But the Blues’ “B” team came through unscathed, taking a 2-0 and 3-1 lead on course to a 4-2 scoreline; Gent’s 90th minute second from Omri Gandelman in truth was a little flattering.
