Liverpool may have to halt their Premier League title celebrations until the final day of the season when they take on Chelsea.

The title race is virtually over

If there is one thing that very few people would deny at this stage of the season, it is that the Premier League title race is virtually over. Liverpool have dominated every team in the league up to this point and they do fully deserve to be champions. It is no a matter of when rather than if they will be winning the league title this season. Another thing which remains to be seen is whether Jurgen Klopp’s side will win the league without losing a game. If they do that, they will become only the second side in history to do so- after Arsenal did the same during the 2003-04 season.

The Reds title celebrations are set to be grand. For many of the younger fans of the club, it will be the first time that they will ever be witnessing their beloved side win the league. The club has not won a Premier League title since the 1989-90 season. Celebrations are already being planned.

Liverpool may have to halt their title celebrations

Judging by the way that they are currently playing, Klopp’s side should ease to the league title with more than several games to spare. The report added that the plans to celebrate may have to be delayed if the Reds manage to progress to the Champions League final for a third consecutive season. They are currently one of the top-performing sides from Europe’s top five leagues and it will not be surprising if they do manage to progress to the final of Europe’s premier club competition and even win it, yet again.
