Pedro is reportedly increasingly unhappy at Stamford Bridge after he lost his place in the starting XI and in the matchday team.
The winger started during the first two games of the season. He started against Manchester United and Leicester City. However, Pedro has only played in one of the subsequent six Premier League matches.
Mason Mount and Willian have been seen as Frank Lampard’s favourite. The return of Callum Hudson-Odoi has made things worse for Pedro, as this only upped the competition for the position even more.
During the last game before the international break, the Spanish international was not even included, with Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic on the bench.
A report from a Spanish daily said that Pedro is no longer happy with the West London Club. It stated that the Spaniard is growing increasingly unhappy with how his career is turning out.
Aside from the issue which he is facing with the club, the 32-year-old winger’s partner and his three children were said to have left for Spain. These issues were said to have triggered Pedro to feel the way he is saying. He is currently enduring one of the most troubling points of his football career. With the way things going against the veteran winger, it is probable that Pedro might seek a move away.
It is quite evident that the Chelsea boss has made a significant shift from experienced veterans to promoting talented academy products. Aside from the two problems that Pedro is facing right now, his form is another thing. He failed to find the back of the net since February this year. So far this 2019/2020 season, Pedro is able to provide an assist and a goal against League Two side Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup. By contrast, youngster, Hudson-Odoi produces a goal and three assists in just 220 minutes since returning to action.
