Callum Hudson-Odoi has left some positive impressions after posting training footage on a social media platform two months after surgery.

The England international posted several videos of him in training, stating that he is hoping to be back with his team very soon. The encouraging news is a huge boost for the club after the Blues parted ways with Eden Hazard. The Belgium international left Stamford Bridge for Real Madrid to join Zinedine Zidane. The mega money move completed Hazard’s dream to be with Zidane, and also opened a spot for Hudson-Odoi.

Chelsea have also released head coach Maurizio Sarri, who opted to go back to Serie A’s Juventus.

The 18-year-old Hudson-Odoi ruptured his Achilles heel last April when they faced Burnley in the Premier League. The game ended in a 2-2 draw.

Earlier, Hudson-Odoi was linked with a transfer to Bundesliga giant, Bayern Munich.  But with the new clip on Twitter, it looks like he is still staying with Chelsea. He was seen doing drills with a member of the training staff last Sunday, erasing all doubts and fears. The winger posted a video showing some sharp, fast-paced training drills.

Hudson-Odoi made his first appearance in the Premier League with a 3-0 win over Brighton. Maurizio Sarri also featured the young England international against West Ham and Liverpool before he hurt himself and prematurely ended his 2018/2019 season with the Blues. Hudson-Odoi played 24 matches under Sarri last season.

The Europa League holders will start their Premier League season away, going up against Manchester United on August 11. And with Hudson-Odoi making huge strides in his fitness recovery, it looks like the Blues have someone to replace Hazard’s shoes.

Aside from Hudson-Odoi, another youngster could also be showing up at Stamford Bridge. Mason Mount is currently with Derby County on loan, and with an impending transfer embargo slapped against Chelsea, it looks like the Blues still have some aces left up their sleeves.
