Thorgan Hazard, who is the brother of Chelsea star Eden, has been one of the best performers in the German Bundesliga so far this season. The 25-year-old has managed eight goals and six assists from 14 games to date.

Thorgan was previously on the books of the Blues from 2012-2015 but failed to make a single Premier League appearance for the club during that time, instead having loan spells with Zulte Waregem and Borussia Monchengladbach, the latter of whom he joined permanently in 2015.

He is now a much-improved player and is able to operate as a winger as well as a number 10. With the likes of Willian, Cesc Fabregas and Pedro now all above 30 years old, it could be the right time for the Blues to re-sign Thorgan.

Meanwhile, Thorgan’s older brother Eden Hazard has been consistently linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid. Eden has yet to commit to fresh terms at Stamford Bridge and it is very likely that Los Blancos will move for him next summer due to their struggles this season, as well as their failure to find a direct replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo last summer. Losing the Belgian ace would be a major disaster for the Blues. He has been a pillar of strength for the team during the past few years and is a key figure and leader within Maurizio Sarri’s team.

Perhaps, signing Thorgan could cause Eden to turn down the advances of Madrid? Could sharing the Chelsea midfield with his brother be something that is appealing to him?

Thorgan Hazard would certainly provide a quality addition to the Blues squad and signing him could convince his older brother Eden to remain at the club. Thorgan is fast and has the ability to create chances, is good with set-pieces and is a decent dribbler. This is a player who the Blues should go all-out to sign next summer.
