Tiemoue Bakayoko has dyed his hair blue in celebration of scoring his first Chelsea goal.

The Frenchman took a little time in getting around to the hairstyle, having netted his opening goal during the 6-0 win against Qarabag in the Champion League.

We have seen a few different bright styles from the French international, but now you really won’t struggle to pick out the big man on the pitch.

Shortly after joining the club, he promised to dye his hair blue when he scored his first goal. The 23-year-old told The Sun: “I like changing the colour of my hair from time to time. I don’t go completely over the top, but sometimes I find it brings me good luck. Since the Man City game, I put some white in my hair.”

Blue inspiration?

The £40 million midfielder is a crucial anchor in Antonio Conte’s unsettled midfield that continues to be rocked by injuries. It’s likely we will see the Sonic-charged hair on the pitch this Saturday as Chelsea visit Bournemouth in the Premier League.

The Blues find themselves trailing league leaders Manchester City by nine points already this season. After struggling against Watford last time out, Bakayoko will keen to dominate Eddie Howe’s side.

The Frenchman last changed his hairstyle after the 1-0 defeat to City and went on to net a goal during the 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace. Hopefully, the blue in his roots will inspire the rest of the squad to victory and keep the pressure up on Spurs and the red half of Manchester, who sit directly above them in the Premier League.
