Willian has broken his silence regarding his future at Chelsea, saying he intends to stick it out at Stamford Bridge following talks with Maurizio Sarri.
Chelsea missed out on the first piece of silverware of the season as they were beaten 2-0 by Manchester City in the sunshine at Wembley on Sunday. Jorginho was handed his competitive debut while Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ross Barkey were both given a starting berth in attack after a strong pre-season.
The Community Shield season opener is just around the corner and Chelsea will be keen to take their chance on securing an early trophy under new manager Maurizio Sarri. The Italian coach only arrived at the club three weeks ago, yet judging from the Blues’ pre-season performances, it seems the players at his disposal have taken his footballing philosophy to heart.
